You need the related apex locator to use that function

I thought the locator would be displayed on the hand piece but I misunderstood. It actually needs to plug into a compatible apex locator.

Hi Nan, thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify a key point regarding the product's functionality. Both our official website and the manufacturer’s (Woodpecker) official site clearly state that connecting an apex locator is required to achieve the 'measure while working' effect. The device does not have a built-in apex locator. Therefore, the product description is consistent with the physical item you received. We're here to help if you need any assistance with other features of the Woodpecker E-COM Plus. Feel free to reach out!
