How To Choose A Dental Implant Machine

At present, with the popularization of dental implant technology, how to choose a suitable implant machine has become the first problem to be considered in the development of dental implant technology.

So, can a particular brand of dental implant machine be used in most (or all) of the mainstream implant systems currently on the market? The answer is yes. So let's talk about how to choose a dental implant machine for the basic steps of implanting the implant and the basic requirements for planting.

1. The maximum speed of the dental implant machine after deceleration of the dental handpiece should reach 2000 rpm. Although many dental implant systems require marking and pilot drilling to be performed below 800-1000 rpm, our application feels that if the speed is too low, it is more difficult for the round bur and the pioneer drill to enter the bone; When starting the bone drilling, the initial speed of the bone drill usually decreases, and the drop is 1/4---1/3, so the first two steps use the initial speed of 2000 rpm, and actually only reach 1200 rpm during the bone drilling process. In general, the faster the speed, the easier it is to drill into the bone, but the speed is too fast, which can cause heat to cause bone burns. On the basis of not causing bone burns, the faster the bone drill is, the easier it is to operate. We chose the clinical speed according to the illustration, and no bone burners were found.

2. When the implant hole is enlarged, since the bone drill enters, only the edge of the front end of the drill needle contacts the bone, and the contact area is small and easy to enter, so that the speed is not required at this time. In the nesting step, 800 rpm can be used. This speed reduces heat production to a greater extent, ensuring maximum cell viability on the resulting bone wound surface. For ease of operation, most dental implant machine can preset two programs, one with a maximum speed of 2000 rpm and the other with a maximum speed of 800 rpm. The conversion of the two programs is best able to jump directly from the foot pedal, which can greatly speed up the surgical process.

3. Each step and jump of each function is best can be operated with the foot pedal.

Hopefully this knowledge will help you choose the right dental implant machine!
